Description

" I was shocked and devastated to see credit inquiries without my knowledge. I have reached out to the creditors to ask the following but they have FAILED to provide such. Inquiry Details : Ask the creditor to provide specific details about the inquiry, such as the date it was made, the purpose of the inquiry and the type of credit product or service associated with the inquiry. Application Documentation : Request copies of any credit applications or other documents related to the inquiry. This may include application forms, agreements, or disclosures that you would have completed or received when applying for credit. Authorization Documentation : Ask the creditor to provide evidence of your authorization for the inquiry. This could include signed consent forms, agreements, or disclosures that demonstrate you provided permission for the creditor to access your credit report. Communication Records : Request copies of any correspondence or communication between you and the creditor regarding the inquiry. This may include emails, letters, or notes documenting your interactions with the creditor. Internal Records : Ask the creditor to provide internal records or notes related to the inquiry, including any decision-making processes or reasons for initiating the inquiry. Identity Verification : If identity theft is a concern, request verification measures taken by the creditor to confirm your identity before initiating the inquiry. This may include verification of personal information or identity documents provided during the application process. Compliance Documentation : Inquire about the creditor 's compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing credit inquiries, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and Equal Credit Opportunity Act ( ECOA ).
