Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Incorrect information on your report

I closed my XXXX Visa card. Please be clear it is a Visa card with XXXX. I also have a DEBIT card with XXXX and that is not related to this. I closed my XXXX Visa card on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX states they reported the card closed per my request when I closed it. Now I have an inquiry into my credit by XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX states it should not be an inquiry as their history/records show there was not an inquiry only a report. XXXX does not show the inquiry on my report. EXPERIAN DOES SHOW THE INQUIRY BY XXXX ON XX/XX/XXXX. Something is not adding up. The XXXX inquiry will not fall off for two years, i.e. XXXX. No one asked me to make a hard inquiry or informed me one would be made. And as of today, XXXX can not explain how the inquiry was generated to show up on my credit. I want it removed.
