Description
In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting act XXXX XXXX XXXX Account Number XXXX, has violated my rights. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. States I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish a account without my written instructions. I am writing to dispute certain items on my credit report that I believe have been reported unlawfully and may be in violation of federal law, specifically 18 USC 894. Upon reviewing my credit report, I have identified the collection. These items appear to be associated with attempts to collect or punish me for non-repayment of credit in a manner that may be considered extortionate. Under 18 USC 894, it is unlawful for any entity to knowingly participate in the use of extortionate means to collect or attempt to collect any extension of credit, or to punish any person for the nonrepayment thereof. I believe that the reporting of these items on my credit report may constitute a violation of this law.
