The Central Contractor Registration was the predecessor system to SAM.gov for contractor registration, operational from 1998 until its consolidation into SAM.gov in 2012. CCR collected contractor information including DUNS numbers, banking data, NAICS codes, and socioeconomic certifications. Understanding CCR is relevant for interpreting legacy contract documents and historical procurement data.
Have a specific question about CCR? Ask in plain English — Bureauify will draw on the records on this page to answer.
Ask about CCRCCR is no longer operational — all functionality has been migrated to SAM.gov. Contractors who were registered in CCR had their records automatically transferred to SAM.gov during the 2012 consolidation. Historical CCR data can be found in archived procurement records and pre-2012 contract files.
CCR references appear in contracts, modifications, and procurement documents from before 2012. FAR clauses from that era reference CCR registration requirements. Understanding CCR is important when reviewing legacy contracts, historical past performance data, or interpreting older FAR/DFARS provisions that have since been updated to reference SAM.gov.
