Description

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region III announces the deletion of the McAdoo Associates Superfund Site (Site), located in McAdoo Borough, Schuylkill County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, from the National Priorities List (NPL). The NPL, promulgated pursuant to section 105 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980, as amended (CERCLA), 33 U.S.C. 9605, is appendix B of the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP), 40 CFR part 300. EPA and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, through the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, have determined that the site no longer poses a significant threat to public health or the environment and that all appropriate response actions under CERCLA have been completed. Monitoring of on-site wells, and five-year reviews to ensure that the site remains protective of public health and the environment will continue to be conducted.
