Description
Dispute of Inaccurate Collection Account Related to Canceled Insurance Policy Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am filing a formal complaint against CREDIT COLLECTION SERVICE being reported on my credit file that I believe to be inaccurate and unjustified. CREDIT COLLECTION SERVICES is currently reporting a negative account related to a XXXX XXXX policy. However, I had previously canceled my policy with XXXX XXXX and was no longer a customer at the time the alleged balance was incurred. I have contacted CREDIT COLLECTION SERVICE directly and provided them with proofa valid insurance card from another insurerdemonstrating that I had active coverage with a different company during the time in question. Despite my efforts and the evidence I submitted, this account continues to appear on my credit report and is damaging my credit history. This reporting violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), which requires that all furnished data be accurate and verifiable. I am requesting that the CFPB investigate this matter and compel the collection agency to remove or correct this inaccurate account immediately. I have attached the relevant documentation, including a copy of my insurance card and correspondence to the collection company, to support my claim. Thank you for your assistance in protecting my consumer rights and ensuring fair reporting. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX
