Bureauify aggregates data from 4 primary core federal procurement databases — SAM.gov, USAspending, FPDS, and Grants.gov — plus 160+ supplementary government feeds including the Federal Register, GAO, SBIR, SEC EDGAR, state procurement portals, and more. Records are updated multiple times daily and indexed with semantic search.

How We Process Data
Ingest
EventBridge schedules trigger Lambda functions that pull from each federal API. Core sources update multiple times daily; supplementary sources run on daily or weekly schedules.
Transform & Enrich
Raw records are normalized into a common schema, enriched with NAICS descriptions, agency hierarchies, and reliability scores, then stored in DynamoDB.
Embed & Index
Text fields are embedded into 1024-dimensional vectors using Amazon Titan Embeddings v2. Records are indexed into OpenSearch with k-NN enabled for semantic search.
Serve
API Gateway routes search queries to Lambda handlers that combine keyword matching, semantic similarity, and faceted filtering to return ranked results.
