Description

I am filing this complaint because the consumer reporting agency failed to meet its obligations under 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( a ) ( 7 ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), which requires the agency to provide, upon request, a detailed description of the reinvestigation procedures used to verify disputed information. I specifically requested the name and contact information of the furnisher, the identity of the person the agency communicated with, and the documentation used to confirm the accuracy of the disputed account. The agency did not provide this information within the 15-day timeframe required by law. This lack of response is a clear violation of my rights under the FCRA.
