About CBP Customs Zones
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is the largest federal law enforcement agency, organized into Field Offices that manage ports of entry and Border Patrol Sectors that secure the areas between those ports. Together, these zones cover every inch of the U.S. border — land, sea, and air — and process over $4 trillion in international trade annually.
For federal contractors, CBP represents one of the largest procurement organizations in the Department of Homeland Security. Each Field Office and Sector procures independently for inspection technology, non-intrusive imaging systems, surveillance equipment, facility construction, vehicle fleets, and IT systems. The agency's ongoing border modernization initiatives drive billions in annual contract opportunities across technology, construction, and professional services.
