Description

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: 1.Demonstrated experience developing and presenting briefings to meet the need of various audiences. 2.Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with others. 3.Demonstrated experience with research and analysis, imagery, and/or geospatial analysis. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Foreign Area Studies, Geography, History, International Affairs, International Studies, Military Science, Physical Science, Political Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience working in an Intelligence discipline analyzing and interpreting imagery and maintaining and building tasking strategies, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an Intelligence discipline analyzing and interpreting imagery and maintaining and building tasking strategies, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses; Stereopsis ability; Hand steadiness DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Experience using technical skills, such as computer vision implementation, data mining in addition to analytics, data visualization, statistical analysis, algorithm development, and/or data science. 2. Knowledge of national or commercial imagery systems to include tasking, processing, exploitation, and analysis. 3. Experience with imagery analysis or all-source intelligence to address matters of national concern, such as foreign military, environmental, and/or terrorism. 4. Experience in a related work role for the federal government, specifically the military, Combat Commands and/or Intelligence Community.. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Band 3 Imagery Analysts analyze and interpret imagery to support U.S. military and policymaker interests. They analyze the activities and interests of countries, regions, and non-state entities, as well as the impact of natural and man-made disasters. In addition, these analysts conduct multi-INT research, populate and exploit intelligence databases, produce and disseminate moderately complex intelligence products, and defend their findings in a variety of forums. Band 3 Imagery Analysts develop regional or functional expertise. They maintain relationships with their IC counterparts, international partners, and customers. They may also be expected to support 24/7 operations.. Organization: National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Location: Saint Louis, Missouri, Missouri. Pay Range: $76573 - $141880 Per Year.
