Description
Properties of Boroplaster, concrete, polyethylene, Permali, Chemtree 1-20-26, and water-extended polyester are evaluated as a neutron shielding material for the new fuel shipping container (NFSC). Data are presented on neutron attentuation properties, temperature and compressive strength characteristics, and fabrication considerations. A recommendation is made on the basis of suitability to the NFSC application.. Authors: Listing, L. [Rockwell International Corp., Canoga Park, CA (United States). Rocketdyne Div.]; Kuster, C. A.
