Description

With the goal of advancing criticality safety with neutron localization, the following tasks were successful: (1) demonstrated neutron source localization using a NoMAD detector and ML; and (2) developed a real-time system for streaming in data from NoMAD, verifying that the system works in experimental settings.. Authors: Canon, Natalie [Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), Los Alamos, NM (United States)]; Thompson, Nicholas [Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), Los Alamos, NM (United States)]; Hutchinson, Jesson [Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), Los Alamos, NM (United States)]; Biegalski, Steve [Georgia Inst. of Technology, Atlanta, GA (United States). Georgia Tech Research Institute]; Erickson, Anna [Georgia Inst. of Technology, Atlanta, GA (United States). Georgia Tech Research Institute]. DOE Contract: 89233218CNA000001. Subjects: 46 INSTRUMENTATION RELATED TO NUCLEAR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY; 73 NUCLEAR PHYSICS AND RADIATION PHYSICS; Fuel Debris Removal; NoMAD; Nuclear Criticality Safety Program (NCSP)
