Procurement Forecast

Definition

A procurement forecast (FAR 7.104) is an agency's advance notice of planned contract actions for the upcoming fiscal year. Agencies are required to publish annual forecasts of expected contract opportunities, giving businesses time to prepare. Forecasts typically include estimated dollar value, NAICS code, anticipated solicitation date, and whether the procurement will be set aside for small business. Check individual agency procurement forecast pages or SAM.gov for published forecasts.
