Gift Rules

Definition

Gift Rules (5 CFR Part 2635, Subpart B) prohibit federal employees from soliciting or accepting gifts from prohibited sources (including contractors). Contractors should not offer gifts, meals, or entertainment to government personnel beyond de minimis exceptions ($20 per occasion, $50 per year). Violations can jeopardize contract relationships and trigger investigations.
